Jerry Hafter offers unique leadership to the Board of Trustees
following his distinguished record of educational and professional
achievements which began at Greenville High School. He graduated with
academic honors with a B. A. from Rice University and his B.A/M.A. from
Oxford University before earning a Juris Doctorate fro Yale Law School.
Mr. Hafter is a practicing attorney who also contributes his energy to
numerous local, state and national boards and civic organizations.

Eugene McCray, Jr. believes, "with perseverance and hard work,
anything is achievable." Mr. McRay is a product of Greenville who
entered the armed forces after high school graduation, serving his
country during the Korean Conflict. Returning home, he earned a degree
from Alcorn State College and a Masters Degree from Delta State, built a
real estate investment company, and spent 30 years in local
education...the last 16 years at Mississippi Valley State University as
an associate professor.

Joe Nash plays a significant role in making Greenville a better
place to live and raise a family. The product of Greenville Public
Schools earned a B. A. in Religious Studies from Rhodes College in
Memphis and then came home to become a third-generation family member to
work for the family farm equipment business. Mr. Nash's active roles
with the Board of Trustees, the United Way, the YMCA, E. E. Bass
Foundation, the Delta Symphony Association, and the board of the
Mid-Delta Workforce Alliance reflect his deep community involvement.

Mercidees McTeer uses her formal educational training and commitment
to Delta children to help the Greenville Public School District's Board
of Trustees guide the district toward excellence. Mrs. McTeer earned her
bachelors degree and masters degree in Early Childhood Education at
Towson State University. After beginning her teaching career in
Baltimore, Maryland, she has taught kindergarten through second grade in
public school systems in Mound Bayou, Shaw, and Greenville.

Henri Tillmon believes that, "our children are our greatest resource
and that education is the vehicle by which we can maximize these
resources." The native of West Point, Mississippi is a Disease
Intervention Specialist Senior with the Mississippi State Department of
Health, Washington County. After earning his B. S. Degree from Hampton
University, Mr. Tillmon began his public health training and
certification with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention in
Atlanta and the Chicago Department of Health.
