ProStart® student Rosemary (left) serves up a cup of
hot coffee to First Presbyterian minister Stuart Baskin on
Wednesday at the Greenville Technical Center. This two-year
food service program is written by the National Restaurant
Association and combines relevant classroom activities
with paid internships. A first-class breakfast was on the
menu for members of the Greenville business community.
"We wanted everyone to come in and see what we're doing
here at the technical center and in the Greenville Public School
system as a whole," said the center's director Michael Ray.
He explained that this effort was put forth to get conceptions from
businesses on how the school system can enhance the skills of
its students to better prepare them for employment. (Photos by
