Related Studies focuses its efforts and activities directly on assisting
Special Populations students (disadvantaged and disabled) enrolled in vocational programs. The primary goal of the service is to enable
Special Populations
students to experience success in their chosen vocational programs.
The Related Studies Program will:
Address specific deficiencies of the disadvantaged and the disabled student

Coordinate with the Vocational Instructor

Provide additional services for the disadvantaged and disabled students
|
Vocational Guidance Counselor will:
Provide assistance to each student in the development and use of cognitive and affective skills which lead to
better understanding of self and others in the world of work
|
Provide accurate and adequate information for students to use for effective decision-making and
problem-solving
|
Provide career information, job placement and follow-up for all students
|
Assist Special Populations learners in obtaining necessary skills to be successful in vocational programs
